Our casemaker and our customers

One key machine in our portfolio is the Latitude two colour print case maker.

Installed just a few years ago, it allows is to maximise our production capabilities and offer an option to those customers seeking high volume printed cases.

But how does it work and which customers can benefit from the casemaker.

How does our casemaker work?

The Latitude casemaker operates through a series of sophisticated processes designed to ensure precision and efficiency.

The entire operation of the Latitude casemaker is controlled by a state-of-the-art computer system, which monitors each stage of the process and makes real-time adjustments as needed. This ensures that the final product meets the highest standards of quality and durability. Operated by skilled operatives, there are many parts to the manufacturing process from ink mixing, fitting of cutting forms, feeding the board and palletising the finished good.

Initially, sheets of corrugated board are fed into the machine where they are aligned and positioned accurately. The two-colour printing  then applies vibrant, high-quality graphics onto the surface of the boards. This is achieved using advanced flexographic printing technology, which ensures that each print is sharp and consistent.

Once printed, the boards move through the cutting section where they are precisely cut into the desired shapes and sizes. The cutting mechanism is adjustable, allowing for customisation based on specific customer requirements allowing bespoke solutions to be manufactured.

After cutting, the boards are folded and glued to form the finished product. The folding process is automated to maintain uniformity and reduce the risk of errors.
